Michelle Harm, New Consumer Loan Officer

Union State Bank has hired Michelle Harm for the consumer loan officer position at our Hazen location. Michelle has lived in Mercer County for over 20 years and has nearly two decades of banking experience.

Originally from Mandan, Michelle moved to Mercer County in October of 2001. She and her husband, Craig, have two sons – Blake and Cade – and a family Labrador, Gracie.

Michelle has truly learned banking, inside and out. She began her banking journey as a teller, then moved on to accounts payable, collections; and later shifted into the loan side of things as an assistant for the agriculture department, and then commercial and consumer loan positions.

What Michelle enjoys about working at a financial institution is helping customers better understand their finances. Whether that’s helping them financially plan and save for a big purchase or assisting them in consolidating debt; working to help find the right financial answers for their own personal situations.

Michelle is excited to be with Union State Bank because of the people it’s made up of. She looks forward to being surrounded by coworkers who will lead with support and follow up with mentorship when needed. She is also excited to take on the new challenges that come with any new job and working through them.

“I’m excited to use the knowledge I have gained through my years of lending experience and make new friendships with my fellow employees and customers,” said Michelle.
Outside of work Michelle enjoys family time, which usually consists of watching her son Cade’s sporting events, and occasionally scrapbooking when time allows.
